Missouri’s RPCs are partnering with the Missouri Office of Broadband and University of Missouri Extension to host a series of regional engagement meetings across the state. These public meetings are engaging key stakeholder groups and the general public to discuss Missouri’s broadband development strategy and to explore opportunities to increase digital equity so all Missourians can have broadband internet access. Follow-up discussions are being held regionally for the next few months and a second regional engagement meeting will be held in each RPC region in early 2023 to review the consensus on moving broadband development forward. Photos from the Meramec Regional Planning Commission regional meeting (Rolla) and from the two regional meetings held by Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (Springfield and Branson) show the strong interest from stakeholders and the general public on this critical statewide planning initiative.
